Among the many fun events to take in on Siesta Key to enhance your visit:

Siesta Key Farmers Market

Need to stock the fridge for your stay on the Key? Come to the Farmers Market every Sunday morning to pick up fresh fruits and veggies, home-baked goodies, seafood, fresh cut flowers, cheeses, and lots more. Held every Sunday, rain or shine, at the Siesta Village Plaza from 8:00am to 1:00pm. More details here.

Siesta Key Drum Circle

Here's your chance to do like Todd Rundgren and "bang on the drum all day"! Every Sunday about 1 hour before sunset, the Key's community of drummers gather near the Siesta Beach Pavilion for a spontaneous set of percussion and dancing - just follow your ears. Afterwards, enjoy the picturesque sunset over the Gulf.

Siesta Key Sand Sculpture Contest

This annual contest is held on the first Saturday in May on beautiful Siesta Beach near the Pavilion. A fun event for both watchers and doers that is free of charge, open to participants of all ages, and awards five cash prizes. Look here for more details.

Siesta beach Snowbirds arts & crafts show

Held in January at the Siesta Beach Ball Field. Free admission and lots of free parking.

Siesta Key Craft festival

Held annually in February in Siesta Key Village. Free admission for this 2-day festival.

Valentine's Day at the Beach

A unique event for romantics - renew your wedding vows and say "I Do" all over again. This annual group renewal event on Valentine's Day at the Siesta Beach Pavilion is presided over by Sarasota Judge Becky Titus at 6:00pm. Open to pre-registered couples 18+. $5 fee per couple.

Run/Walk for the Turtles

Sponsored by Mote Marine for the benefit of the Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program, this April event is open to participation by both adults and kids. The one-mile fun walk/run and 5K Run begin at 7:30am and 8:00am, respectively. Registration at the Siesta Key Gazebo, south of the Siesta Beach Pavilion. Cost: adults $20-$25, children 10 and younger $10-$15.

Easter Egg Hunt & Games

For children ages 1-6, at Siesta Beach Access Point #5 on Easter Sunday. $10 fee for the first 125 children includes stuffed toy, goody bag, Easter Egg stuffed with prizes, face painting, riding the trolley, and lots of fun family entertainment. Additional details at (941) 349-2770.

Siesta Fiesta

This annual 2-day block party at the end of April is held in Siesta Key Village and features arts and crafts, food stands, live music, and more. From 10:00am to 5:00pm both days, don't miss this admission-free event! More details here.

Crystal Classic Master sand sculpting competition

A multi-day November event, twenty Master Sculptors from around the world gather near the Siesta Beach Pavilion to showcase their talents and compete for $25,000 in prize money. More details here.
